About Me
About Me
I was born and raised in the beautiful island nation of Taiwan. Thanks to our unique political circumstances, we Taiwanese are different. Our country may be small, but our people are open-minded. We may live under constant threat, but we remain kind. Our land is hot, but our spirit is cool.
Beyond my academic work in mathematics, I devote much of my time to family, Taiwanese language and culture (台語/台灣話), public affairs related to Taiwan, and Buddhist practice. I am a member of the North America Taiwanese Professors' Association, Taiwanese Association of America Greater Washington Chapter, and volunteer with several Buddhist organizations, including Nalandabodhi and Karmapa Center 16.
