Yi-Chung Wu

Yi-Chung Wu received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering and computer science and the M.S. degree in electrical engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2013 and 2016 respectively, and the Ph.D. degree from the Graduate Institute of Electronics Engineering, National Taiwan University (NTU) in 2021. From 2021 to 2024, he served as a post-doctoral researcher at NTU. Yi-Chung then joined the faculty of the Institute of Electronics at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University in 2024, where he is currently an Assistant Professor. His research interests include energy-efficient VLSI circuits and high-performance system-on-chip design for bioinformatics, AI/ML, and digital signal processing. 

Dr. Wu was the recipient of the ISSCC Silkroad Award in 2017 and IEEE SSCS Predoctoral Achievement Award in 2019. He also received the ISSCC Takuo Sugano Award for Outstanding Far-East paper in 2020 and the Best Design Award of ASSCC Student Design Contest in 2022. He was also awarded several PhD dissertation awards, including IEEE Taipei Section, Taiwan IC Design Society, and Taiwan Engineering Medicine Biology Association.
