Breaking Barriers, Building Friendships
Directory of North-West events happening all throughout 2026!!
Get together events: Mosque open days, Exhibitions, Family fun days, Iftars, Cultural festivals, Community parties, Picnics...
Dear Friends
I will be regularly adding events organised or contributed by the various diaspora of Muslims in the North-West which are dedicated and open for fellow non Muslim neighbours and the wider society to participate and have the opportunity to enjoy a deeper experience with their Muslim neighbours communities, share more in common and build friendships.
I will also be adding/promoting events by communities that are reaching out to their Muslim neighbours, individuals as well as organisations to have a presence and share more in common.
For schools/scouts, if you would like to visit a near mosque or someone from the mosque community visit you to do an assembly, then I am happy to help with that. Mosques if you need training and help running visits, my team can try to help with that too.
Also feel free to share this webpage with your own introduction and please suggest any edits and do share any local open events happening to my personal email: activetahir@gmail.com
We encourage you to check this link regularly and spread the word to your friends and work colleagues.
Best wishes.

Past Truisms brings together communities in need of greater interaction, using shared interest in heritage, locality, language and dialect and the arts.
Based in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, we have a strong track record of delivering projects that bring people together who might not normally have the opportunity to socialise and to learn about local and national heritage.
At the heart of everything we do, we focus on developing the interconnectedness between people. Often, we work in areas of extreme disadvantage and poverty, but don't exclude anyone from our expertise and our unique methods of working within a community. Our work cuts across generational divides and cultural differences. We love to support people to move beyond suspicion, fear and disinterest.
