Many Voices Choir History
The Many Voices Community Choir has been performing together since 1988. It is a 40-60 member chorale with members from over 15 communities in northwest Iowa and southern Minnesota.
Since 1990 the choir has been under the direction of Tim Schumacher as the choir's conductor and artistic director. The choir is currenlty accompanied by DJ Gommels.

Membership Dues
Each year dues are set by the board and are due in the fall each year. The money is used to pay the director and accompanist and to purchase music. The dues cover both the fall and spring concert series.
Folders and Music
Black folders are used at concerts. You can contact our Treasurer, Barb Bohm, if you need a folder. After the concerts, the music is collected and filed in the Many Voices Choir music library.
You are encouraged to bring a pencil to rehearsals to mark your music as directed.
Concert Dress
Men: black pants, long-sleeved black shirt, black tie, black socks and black shoes.
Women: black long-sleeved, floor-length dress OR a black long-sleeved blouse and a floor-length black skirt; black hose and black shoes.
NO FRAGRANCES, perfume or cologne, at rehearsals or performances please!
Weather and Cancellation Announcements
Should we need to cancel rehearsals due to weather or other reasons, announcements will be made:

General Rule: If you do not feel safe driving, we understand if you do not attend rehearsal. Please let your section leader know if you are not able to attend.
