Reggie Schive Jazz Camp - June 14-18, 2026
5 days of educational filled days of masterclasses, theory, improvisation, and lessons.
Every student gets to be in a big band, a combo, and gets two lessons from instructors on their primary instruments.

High school instrumentalists across the Midwest are invited to join us for the 2026 Morningside Honor Band, February 13–14, 2026, at Morningside University in Sioux City, Iowa.
What to Expect
• Two full days of rehearsals, masterclasses, and faculty recitals
• A free public concert featuring the Honor Band alongside the Morningside University Wind Ensemble, held in historic Eppley Auditorium 
Participation Details
• Nomination deadline: December 22, 2025
• Nomination & registration fee for accepted students: $40, includes meals and a festival T-shirt
• Optional hotel lodging with quad occupancy available for an additional $40
How to Participate
1. Directors submit nominations by the December 22nd.
2. Download and distribute permissions forms to nominated students.
3. Return completed permission forms to Dr. Christopher Brandt at brandtc@morningside.edu.

The School of Visual & Performing Arts at Morningside University invites high school concert bands to participate in the Music Educator-adjudicated Concert Band Festival. The event is designed to help ensembles prepare for district and large group contests by providing constructive, actionable feedback from experienced adjudicators, as well as a short clinic session.
Festival Highlights:
• Recorded Expert adjudication and detailed feedback to improve ensemble performance
• Short live clinic sessions to address ensemble-wide challenges and refine musical interpretation
• Opportunity for bands to rehearse and perform in a supportive, educational setting
Who Should Participate:
Middle School and High school concert bands preparing for district/large group contests. The cost is $75 per ensemble.
