A Four-day National Workshop cum FDP on Data and Security (with hands on using ns3 simulator)

Aiming to enhance the skill sets in core subjects of students and faculty by providing hands on experience; JNTU College of Engineering Kakinada (JNTU CEK) in association with College of Engineering and Technology (CETB) is scheduled to organize A Four-day National Workshop cum FDP on Data and Security (with hands on using ns3 simulator) at CET Bhubaneswar during 16-19 Oct. 2019 with financial support from Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP-III).

TEQIP-III : The Project, Third phase of Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (referred to as TEQIP-III) is fully integrated with the Twelveth Five-year Plan objectives for Technical Education as a key component for improving the quality of Engineering Education in existing institutions with a special consideration for Low Income States and Special Category States (SCS) and support to strengthen few affiliated technical universities to improve their policy, academic and management practices.

Contents:

  • Blockchain Technology & Analytics;
  • Advanced topics on Data & Security
  • Introduction to Cyber security; Cryptography & Symmetric cryptography
  • Security attacks & Security mechanism
  • Hands-on session on symmetric cryptography ; Public key cryptography ; Hands-on session on PKC
  • NETWORK SECURITY USING OPENSSL AND ns3
  • Cyber Security Applications using Machine Learning
  • Keystroke dynamics in cyber security (with handson)
  • Malware analysis using Wireshark
  • Android security
  • Electronic Mail Security
  • Firewalls and Web Security
  • Data breach Prevention etc.

Registration Fee: Rs. 1000/- for Faculty; Rs. 500/- for Students ; Free for faculty / PG students from TEQIP-III colleges.

Accommodation: Limited Accommodation is available and provided at Guest House, CETB on first come first serve. No TA / DA will be provided for participants.

As the event is planned to organize with hands on, only limited number of slots are available for participants, priority is given for the faculty of TEQIP-III colleges.
