current offerings

All art classes study the elements of art and principles of design (EPIC) on a yearly continuum. Each year a new set of lessons based are taught. The EPIC curriculum is on a 3 year rotation therefore the learning arcs are the same each year but the lessons will different as students progress through each year.

SPRING 2026

Ease into Art 1,2,3

In this creative, hands-on art class, kids will explore a wide variety of materials and techniques as they create fun, imaginative, and display-worthy artwork each week. Designed specifically for ages 6 to 9, this class introduces young artists to new mediums—from paint and pastels to collage and clay—with each week offering a fresh and exciting project.Some sessions will feature two or three materials combined in playful, experimental ways, helping kids build confidence and curiosity while developing artistic skills. Every project is thoughtfully designed to be age-appropriate, motivating, and above all—fun.Whether your child is already drawing up a storm or just beginning their art journey, this class offers a joyful space for self-expression and creativity

Creative Studio 4,5,6

This class is designed for older artists who are ready to take their creativity to the next level. Through weekly hands-on projects, students will explore a wide range of art supplies and techniques—expanding their skills while discovering which mediums and styles speak to them most.Each session offers a new project that encourages personal expression, creative decision-making, and a deeper understanding of how artists work. Students will begin to see themselves as artists, developing their own visual language and learning to trust their ideas.Projects are designed to be open-ended and inspiring, with room for individual interpretation. Whether your child loves drawing, painting, or experimenting with new materials, this class provides a fun, encouraging space to grow their talent and confidence.

Masters 1.0

Gr 1-5

Masters of Art is a creative art history and studio course designed to expose students to the great works of art across all eras. Students will study the techniques, lives, and motivations of artists—from the Old Masters to influential Contemporary Artists—and then use that inspiration to create their own works. Each project begins with a close up look at a specific master artist (e.g., Van Gogh, Picasso, Kahlo, or Warhol) and their signature style. Using paint, pastels, collage, or clay, young artists will recreate masters pieces of their own. This hands-on process solidifies technical understanding.

BUILT

Ever wonder how the world’s most amazing buildings were made? In BUILT 1.0, students become young architects as they explore the art of construction through drawing and hands-on projects!Each week, we’ll dive into a different famous landmark, using directed draws to capture everything from towering skyscrapers to ancient castles. As we draw, we’ll learn about the visionary architects who dreamed them up and the stories behind their designs. Students will also learn the basics of architectural drawing, practicing how to turn their own big ideas into 2D sketches and simple plans.With plenty of room for individual creativity, students will then apply what they’ve learned to create their own unique design features. Whether they're sketching a dream home or a futuristic city, this class is all about the joy of drawing and the fun of building something new!

Masters 2.0

Gr 1-5

Masters 2.0 is the sequel class to Masters 1.0 in which 12 more artists are introduced and emulated. Students will learn about famous master artists from history and the creative ideas we can learn from them.

Global Art Passport

Gr 2-5

Take a trip around the world! Young artists will learn about the unique and amazing world we live in through fun and engaging lessons. Students will explore a region of the world and learn important art elements and principles.

Sketchbook Studio

Gr 6-8

Sketchbooks are the backbone of a student's middle school art experience. This class is a process art class in which the student develops artistic behavior through their own practices. Students will receive mini lessons on techniques and supplies. Students will then use their sketchbooks for practice drawing, experimentation, and free choice art practices.

Road Trip USA

Gr 2-5

A class full of art an exploration across the US! Students will "visit" a different state each week and complete an art project based on the state; it's topography, symbol, regional appeal, culture, or famous artist.

Hungry for Art

Gr 2-5

A class for food art enthusiasts! This class will make your mouth water. Artists in this class will focus on the painting, sketching, and sculpting of food; from sushi boards to sweet desserts. The elements of art and the principles of design are reinforced by applying the elements to 2D and 3D projects.

Road Trip National Parks

Gr 2-5

A class full of art an exploration across the United States with specific stops at some of our amazing National Parks. Students will "visit" a different park each week and complete an art project based on that park; it's location, the climate, a local animal, or something else unique to that national park.

EASY ART

How It's Made Sculpture 101

students will dive into the world of three-dimensional art while learning the fundamentals of form, structure, and space. Using a range of materials—including clay, paper, plaster, and recycled objects—young artists will create a variety of unique sculptures that are both expressive and skill-building.Each project introduces a new technique or material, encouraging students to experiment, problem-solve, and bring their ideas to life in physical form. They’ll explore how artists think in 3D, while gaining confidence in their ability to shape, build, and construct.This class is perfect for kids who love working with their hands, thinking creatively, and exploring art in new dimensions.

Kid Art Lit 1.0

KIDARTLIT is all about creating art inspired by picture books. Students will learn and apply the techniques illustrators use to create illustrations. In each class, a new book is introduced and explored in a way that offers artists a deeper connection to stories and the characters that they meet.
