I'm thrilled to be part of this unique experience in teaching homeschoolers. The kids can call me Ms. D. It's a whole lot easier than Mrs. Diagonale. For those in the know, it's pronounced just like in Harry Potter; Diagon Alley.
I've had over 30 years of teaching experience as a classroom teacher, a librarian, an "art-brarian" (when I did both jobs at one time!), and currently as small business owner teaching art classes after school and over the summer in my private art studio. If your interested in more art classes, workshops, or activities for your child, you are welcome to check out PAINT AND PAGES.
We have a new Friday evening class for Tweens!
I am endlessly inspired by the creativity, joy, and imagination of children. I love exposing students to the wonderful world of art; the creativity, the history, the mediums, the techniques, old artists and new, and the endless inspirations around all of us.
In addition to my love for kid art and kid books, I have a soft spot for snow, gardening, organizing, whippy songs, and dark chocolate.

My Teaching Philosophy
I believe that everyone is creative and that it only takes one class, workshop, artist talk, or gallery showing, to re-ignite or liberate that creativity; and I believe that creativity of ALL kinds, taps into and accesses important parts of the brain we do not give ourselves enough opportunities to flex and enjoy in our busy lives.
