Awards

In addition to ribbons for placings, the following awards are given out by NWADC at club sponsored shows:

Year End Awards programs

To qualify for year end awards, participants must be current club members who have volunteered a minimum of 6 hours at a club activity or donated a minimum of $50. Awards will be presented at the year end meeting.

Volunteer of the Year award is to recognize a club member who has gone above and beyond to help the club events run smoothly.

Performance Certificates are awarded to members who receive 3 scores above 65% at any one level. Awards may be earned in more than one level per year but there must be three scores above 65% at each level.

Show Series (High Point) awards were introduced in 2012 to encourage members to participate in multiple NWADC shows during the show season. An award is given to the member who has accumulated the most points at each level at the junior and adult amateur. The points are tallied for specific rider/horse combinations.

Show Series Award Rules

1. NWADC members in good standing and meeting the volunteer work hour requirements are eligible for the award.

2. Points are earned for each unique Horse/Rider combination at each level ridden.

3. Horse/Rider combination must have participated and earn points in at least one NWADC sponsored show.

4. Shows that qualify for points are A) NWADC sponsored shows or B) shows sponsored by an NWADC member.

5. To qualify, member sponsored shows must be judged by a minimum of an “L” graduate and must be advertised on the club’s website and facebook page. The show manager must turn in scores and placings to the NWADC show secretary.

6. Points are as follows, 1st place=6pts; 2nd=5pts; 3rd=4pts; 4th=3pts; 5th=2pts; 6th=1pt.

7. Ties at the end of the year will be broken by highest average score.

8. Awards will be given in the following divisions to one Adult & one Junior rider. The divisions are Intro, Training, First, and 2nd level & up.
