Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and culturally aware Retail Director to lead our ceramic product sales across online and offline channels. The role involves liaising with Mandarin-speaking artists, coordinating product releases, and implementing sales strategies that align with our brand vision.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee retail operations including online store management and pop-up/gallery sales
Communicate effectively with Chinese-speaking ceramic artists to coordinate product timelines and custom commissions
Develop and execute seasonal sales plans, promotions, and product launches
Manage stock levels, pricing strategy, and supplier relationships
Expand B2B partnerships with boutiques, homeware stores, and cultural organizations
Support marketing initiatives and drive traffic via digital and community channels
Analyze sales performance and adapt strategies accordingly
Requirements
Minimum 1 years' experience in retail management or art/craft sales
Fluency in both English and Mandarin (required for artist communication)
Familiarity with handmade/ceramic product markets in the UK or Europe
Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., Shopify, Etsy) and digital tools
Strong interpersonal, coordination, and project management skills
