Website Content: When you actively use the extension while browsing supported retail pharmacy websites, our code temporarily reads the names and prices of items in your shopping cart to perform real-time price comparisons and search for discounts.
2. How We Handle Your Data (Local-First Design)
Your trust is our priority. We handle your sensitive health data using a local-first framework:
100% Local Storage: Your health profile, medication lists, and refill calendars are stored directly on your physical device using Chrome's secure local storage APIs.
No Central Databases: We do not transmit your medication history or personal health information to our own servers, nor do we store them on any central database.
On-the-Fly Processing: Price comparisons and safety interaction checks are processed locally on your browser. Once your pharmacy browsing session ends, the temporary cart-reading data is discarded.

Our extension facilitates price comparisons across third-party retail pharmacy platforms. When you click on a link to navigate to an external pharmacy site to complete a checkout, you are subject to that specific platform's privacy policy and terms of service. NutriCart is not responsible for the data practices of external websites.

Because your data is stored locally on your own computer, its security relies on your browser's built-in protections. We recommend keeping your Google Chrome browser updated to the latest version to ensure your local storage remains secure.
