***Note: we strongly encourage learning by ear. Knowing the music by heart and being independent from the dots will make jamming, arranging, and performance go smoother. This page attempts to help everyone learn the same versions of the tunes. Still, your teachers may add or change ornaments, bowings, and harmonies, so it's best to treat the sheet music as "more what you'd call 'guidelines' than actual rules," like the Pirates' Code!
Tips for slowing down recordings for learning: Some of the recordings include a slower version for learning by ear. The apps Amazing Slow Downer and Anytune can also help. Both have free versions. You can also slow down a YouTube clip. For a computer, click on the gear in the lower right corner of the video frame to adjust the speed. In the phone/app version of YouTube, tap the three dots in the top right corner and then tap "Playback speed."
When you sign up, you will receive an email confirming your sign-up submission, which will also specify which set of tunes you should learn. If you've already learned those tunes-that's great--you've got a head start!
