Biography

Tan Weikai graduated with a B.Eng (Hydraulic engineering) from Hohai University in 2016. After that, he pursued his Ph.D. at School of Civil and Environmental Engineering of National University of Singapore since 2016 and received his Ph.D. degree in 2020.

Then, he worked as a postdoctoral researcher at National University of Singapore, conducting numerical simulation (OpenFOAM) of overtopping waves on seawalls and their impact on pedestrian’s safety. He is experienced in oscillatory water tunnel experiments. Also, he is interested in employing CFD tools to simulate boundary layer hydrodynamics and sediment transport.
