Linlong Tong studied Mathematics and Applied Mathematics at College of Science, Hohai University and obtained his Bachelor degree in 2012. Later he received his PhD degree at College of Harbor, Coastal and Offshore Engineering, Hohai University in 2019. He subsequently worked as a postdoctoral researcher at Hohai University from November, 2019 to present. Currently, he is a visiting scholar at NUS. His research focuses on wave-seabed interaction to study soil responses inside the seabed and the feedback to the water wave by experimental and analytical approaches. He has derived an approximated analytical solution on long wave-induced soil responses inside a poro-elastic seabed of finite thickness and then he modified the traditional Boussinesq-type equation of second order accuracy with considering the seepage and viscous effects.
