I graduated from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC) in 2015, obtaining my degree in Civil Engineering. In the final period of my undergraduate studies I spent one year at HR Wallingford (Oxfordshire, U.K.) as visiting researcher, working on the design and experimentation of a Tsunami Simulator. During this time, I also worked on my bachelor thesis, studying the tsunami hazard and modelling in the northeast coast of Spain.
Once I finished my undergraduate studies, and prior to coming to Singapore to start my PhD studies, I continued my work with the Tsunami Simulator as research assistant at the University College of London (UCL) for three months. Finally, I started my PhD studies at NUS in 2016.
My research interests are focused in tsunami experimental and numerical modelling, including wave hydrodynamics, coastal processes (e.g. inundation and sediment transport) and coastal defenses and strategies to reduce natural disasters impact.
