The Engineering Scholars Programme is a premier scholarship programme that aims to nurture students with exceptional potential into well-rounded innovators and leaders. Onboard this programme, students are granted an exclusive opportunity to follow an accelerated pathway towards obtaining a Bachelor's plus a Master's degree in 4 years. On top of a generous scholarship, Engineering Scholars will be provided with a unique educational experience that brings together the best educational programmes offered by NUS.
3 yrs BEng + 1 yr MSc
or 4 yrs BEng/DDP
E-Scholars will be given an accelerated pathway leading to completion of the chosen Bachelor of Engineering degree in 3 years. In the 4th year, the student will pursue a Master's degree (3+1).
One can also pursue undergraduate studies in 4 years and obtain a double degree programme (DDP) instead (4+0).
Choose your Masters degree
E-Scholars can read a Master of Science (M.Sc) or Master of Engineering programme (M.Eng) of their choice, among the programmes offered by any of the CDE Engineering departments.
Tuition fees of the NUS Masters programme are covered by the scholarship for the first year.
Grow with dedicated mentors
E-Scholars enjoy close supervision and mentoring by a select pool of Faculty staff, with one mentor assigned to each student. Under the mentorship agreement, E-Scholars meet their mentors regularly to discuss any matters related to his/her study. Mentors also provide advice related to enhancement programmes such as the Student Exchange Programme (SEP) or the NUS Overseas College Programme (NOC).
Live & Learn in University Town
E-Scholars will gain direct admission to stay at Residential College 4 (RC4), our partner Residential College, where the University Town College Programme (UTCP) is offered.
E-Scholars are subsidised for 2 years (including meal plan) for their stay in RC4 or other on-campus accommodations.
Develop global perspectives
E-Scholars enjoy priority admission to the NUS Overseas College (NOC) Programme and the Student Exchange Programme (SEP).
Follow your aspirations
E-Scholars have access to exclusive modules such as the Aspirational Projects (EG2701A/B), which is defined and carried out by the student based on his/her aspirations to make an impact on society. Further details can be found here.
Cultivate leadership skills
E-Scholars get to attend exclusive leadership talks, engage with industry experts and mentors, and reflect on and hone key leadership skills.
Integration of engineering and biomedical sciences, in areas such as biomaterials, biomechanics and medicine.
Scale up of industrial processes and reactions in areas such as pharmaceuticals, food, energy, semiconductors and more!
