Week 7

USRAH 1 SESSION 20/21


This is the last week for Usrah Session for this semester. In this week, we have the task which was to present our poster or video presentation based on the topic given. Our section have 4 group. Group 1, which is my group have prepared the video presentation for the topic Adab Towards parents. Group 2 has present the topic about Adab Towards Neighbour and Society. The topic for Group 3 is Adab and Appreciation for Nature and Environment and Group 4 has present the topic on Sustainability in Islam.

GROUP 1 : ADAB TOWARDS PARENTS

REFLECTION

  • As a children, we must respect our parents. It is an obligation for us to be kind to them.

  • Parents protects us day and night from the day we were born until who we become now. They never complained anything to us even they were very tired. This make our parents so special.

  • In islam, respecting parents is one of the most significants aspects.

  • Thus, we must respect , be kind to our parents.

GROUP 2 : ADAB TOWARDS NEIGHBOUR & SOCIETY

REFLECTION

  • In Islam, all neighbours were requires to be loving and cooperative with each other and share their hardship and happiness together. We were required to establish social relations in which one can depend upon the other and regard their life, honour and property safe among neighbours.

  • Thus, we must be kind and show our respect to the neighbors in order to live in peaceful and harmony with each other. 'You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other greater commandment than these.”

GROUP 3 : ADAB & APPRECIATION FOR NATURE & ENVIRONMENT

REFLECTION

  • Islam considers the nature as a symbol or sign of God, so it cannot be considered merely as independent objects. Impact, in the Islamic tradition, learning and studying science is a kind of spiritual journey to recognize God.

  • Allah, the Almighty, repeatedly calls on mankind to reflect on His signs, which include all aspects of nature such as trees, mountains, seas, animals, birds, stars, the Sun and the moon and our own hearts.

  • In brief, we must to appreciate the nature and environment as it also one of the creations by Allah SWT. It give a lot of benefits for human and animals.

GROUP 4 : SUSTAINABILITY IN ISLAM

REFLECTION

  • In conclusion, we know that moderation (wasatiyyah) was a major islamic principle and way of life by the clear affirmation of the Quran. Thus, God Almighty's vision of this ummah as a community of the middle path (ummatan wasatan) to make moderation, therefore as a guide and conduct of their earthy life. (Al-Baqarah :143)
