So basically for this usrah session we have developed a system which divides the tasks evenly. A big shout out for our usrah instructor for listing out the topics and sub-topics for us! All we had to do was to each choose a point and to present our point to the circle! It was honesly more efficient as we do not need to research or make a lot of notes. It was refreshing to each have our own little parts and explain to each other, it made us connect more and interact with each other more. I have made friends this way and I really am glad that our class was interactive and sister would prepare fun games at the end of our session!!!
Every week I'd be touched at how much effort she puts in ensuring that we all are not bored and had fun but also learn something new. I genuinely enjoyed the classes :3
Below are the screenshots of each week's topic as well as pictures we took for each class. Our group would divide the task according to points listed adn we would each explain regarding the topic.
This was our first class! We introduced ourselves and told everyone a bit regarding which mahallah we are all staying at, what our hobbies are, when our birthdays are and what our hopes are for this usrah class
For this week, under the theme of Acquisition of Hikmah from Ibadah and topic Solat, our group was given the points of virtues found is solat with Khushu'.
We each divided our points as below:
Point 1 : Syafiqah (me)
Point 2: Arissa
Point 3: Siti
Point 4: Qarissa
Point 5: Nuha
We all took notes or wrote regarding our points in our phone and we would read it aloud or explain to the others during usrah session.
The emphasis that i got not only from this session but also the UNGS class i had with Dr. Kabuye was that we have to be humble before our creator. We are merely his followers and it is our duty to worship him. Solat is one of the ways that we have in order to be vulnerable with Allah swt, so it is important that we try to present our best virtues and self while praying.
For this week, still under the theme of Acquisition of Hikmah from Ibadah but with a different topic, Sawm or fasting, our group was given the points of virtues found is sawm.
We each divided our points as below:
Point 1 : Siti
Point 2: Nuha
Point 3: Pika
Point 4: Qarissa & Arisa
To conclude the session, ramadhan is a sacred month. We each have our own memories and what we love during the fasting month. It's not only about refraining yourself from eating and drinking, it is also about becoming more aware of the things you do and say on a daily basis. It is the month where it is possible for us to openly reflect on ourselves and try to become a better version of ourselves. It is also the month where we feel very spirited to go to the mosque or surau to pray tarawih.
For this week, due to the schedule we had an online google meet session so there was no selfie for this class! i forgot to screenshot as well, but anyways while we are still under the theme of Acquisition of Hikmah from Ibadah we moved on to the topic of Zakah or Zakat. Our group was given the points as shown above!
We each divided our points as below:
Point 1 : Arisa
Point 2: Siti
Point 3: Qarisa & Pika
Point 4: Nuha
Each of us shared regarding the informations we were able to find. Since there were only 4 points, Qarisaa and I shared a point by diving the words that we can explain the meaning of.
For this week's topic, it is Hajj or Umrah.
We each divided our points as below:
Point 1 : Qarisa
Point 2: Arissa
Point 3: Pika & Nuha
Point 4: Siti
Nuha and I shared the same points so we decided that I would explain on what happens in the month of Zulhijjah and Nuha will explain on why the month of zulhijjah is very special for muslims around the world.
For this week, our theme changed to Values of life. Our group received the topic of thankfulness (Syukur).
I believe this was when I had an arabic test so i wasn't able to go to the class but thankfully i have informed my group members and they presented on my behalf. It was such a shame because I was kind of sad that I missed the class and game that night!
Our final usrah class!
It seems so crazy how it is the end of our session already. For this week we just needed to bried or fully explain on our plans for the roleplay. Sadly there were some who couldn't make it so we didn't have everyone at the last class but we did bring some food to share! and we played games for the last time together ><
We went with Nuha's suggestion and divided our parts as usual!
Point 1: Pika
Point 2: Siti
Point 3: Arisa
Point 4: Qarisaa
Point 5: Nuha
Just as last sem, I stand by that usrah is a good way for us to remind and reteach each other reagarding the things we have forgotten or though very little of. Especially when it's an interactive class like how sister made it by including everyone and making games for us to enjoy!
I've made new friends from this session and I hope I'll find the will to continue finding knowledge even after usrah has ended.
Most importantly, thank you sister for putting the time and effort into this session. You have a genuinely kind soul and I find it so heart warming that you jotted down all of our birthdays and would remember to wish it! It might seem like a small genture but I am sure it meant to world to them. I thank you from the bottom of my heart because it is fairly obvious that you really spent time in making sure the games were fun but at the same time, you made sure we learnt something from it. The games have always been my favourite session hahaha. It made me look forward to
