Have you ever taken an ice bath? Do you find it refreshing, or instantly start questioning your own judgement? I go through both of these emotions each time I do the polar plunge on New Years Day in downtown Edmonds. But on the bright side, I have some crazy friends who join me, as well as the hundreds of other people who show up for the event.

For me, this event is more than just fun. It starts my year off on an adventurous note. I want to live my life to the fullest, and this sometimes includes doing things that other people call me crazy for; skydiving, hiking up mountains, swimming when it's freezing... I also feel like this is a good reminder of who I am. I try to always keep my "yes" attitude to random adventures and be open to trying new things. My friends know they can count on me to be there through it all.
