Let's tell you why I was able to join this extraordinary activity, so on July 1, 2023 I was chosen by my head to take part in the activity, at first yes, yes, then suddenly there was time for selection, namely micro teaching selection and interviews, and when micro teaching was initially awkward if it turned out that I had to use English hahaha finally I immediately changed my PPT to English. I was very nervous when I entered the room because my English was very limited but I tried it and during the interview it was full English and the good thing was that my lecturer understood very well and let me answer in mixed language, so it made it a little easier for me . And it turned out that I was very lucky that I finnally I passed, but actually at first I entered the Thai internship instead of PPL, for some reason suddenly the Thai interns moved all to the Philippines, finally me and my friend prepared themselves, until the time of debriefing and preparation for departure I was actually very worried about whether I could speak this decent English.

unp is one of the campuses that i never expected to be here, the campus that when i first saw it i fell in love with it. i arrived at unp at sunset and i watched the sunset on the unp field. very beautiful and pretty, besides that unp amazed me a lot, with all the beauty of every corner. One month of being part of UNP is a source of pride for me, getting to know many good people here and also a new culture here.

The facilities and infrastructure at UNP are quite complete, when I observed in the classroom there were many facilities that were already there, from TV, comfortable chairs, fans in the corner of the classroom, several teaching materials displayed on the classroom walls so as to add to the aesthetics of the classroom, and there was also a whiteboard.

the methods and technologies used still use LCD TV and the materials used still use DIY tools and some teachers also still use PPT, especially in grade 4 which sometimes still uses PPT, and the materials used are also very interesting. What caught my attention was the material that used an umbrella, when the umbrella was rotated and the umbrella stopped at one photo, the child had to come forward and answer questions from his teacher.

When I conducted the research, some of the teachers were still using worksheets or from the curriculum and some teachers were also using journals, but as far as I observed, many teachers were using worksheets.

Actually, it didn't enter but the material provided was still very much in my major, namely about morality, where at the time of giving the material was still in my department and I could still master it.

Procedures of teaching

As seen above, my teaching procedure is based on the lesson plan, the material I provide is also based on the lesson plan and how the arrangement in the classroom is also based on the lesson plan and when in class I prioritize building a cymistery to students so that students feel enjoy while learning. Opening from the opening and introduction greetings to the students, continued with a review of the previous material, entered the motivation section where I read them a big book with the title "joys charity" followed by giving questions to students related to the material, continued with me giving a presentation with the material "Teacher Marry Charity", followed by a discussion session where I and the students discussed about people who have merit, Followed by generalizing about the student's opinion whether he agrees or disagrees with the picture I submitted, and finally I give assignments to students.

Time management and organizing activities

and Time Management is given only 1 hour where we have class only one hour, and that too needs to follow the structure in the lesson plan, and the organizer in the class must also see from what we make in the lesson plan. In the lesson plan, it is very organized for what activities We also need to manage the time so that it is enough for an hour.

Problem-solving while teaching and staying in the designated school

Problem solving in the classroom usually uses a discussion technique where we both look for the root of the problem, after that discuss what makes the problem occur and let students express their opinions and as teachers we need to hear the opinions of the two people and try to find a middle way between these two opinions.

Purposes of practicum (meets or not meets your need)

My practicum objectives have been very much fulfilled, because my initial goal was to see what differences there are in the education system in the Philippines and Indonesia, besides that I also want to know and see the character of students in the Philippines, especially UNP. In addition, I also got a lot of extraordinary experiences and had the opportunity to teach and observe in class, so all my goals were very much fulfilled and also well facilitated.

The method used is also a basic theory where the theory is already in the book that is the reference for the learning system and in learning I also ask students to remain active by luring them with the material I made where not only teachers are active in the classroom but students too. in the question and answer session the teacher also uses reward and punishment techniques so that students are interested in answering during the question and answer session, not only that during the discussion session many students are active because the teacher gives students space to express their opinions by using ice breaking if one of them is not focused then they must express their opinions. it turns out that this method is an effective way to invite them to be active in class.

the results that I got while following this program are very many, one of which is seeing many differences in the education system that occurs in Indonesia and the Philippines, besides that I also learned a lot about the new character of students. get new knowledge new friends new teachers and new lecturers and also find many new things that I have never encountered before. besides that I also see many differences in students in the Philippines and Indonesia not only that but also different learning methods and curriculums and don't forget to get very very good friends.

the challange of praticume

My challenge when teaching is communication, where my English communication is very basic so that is my biggest concern, but it turns out that when teaching I am able to carry out my duties well and of course I also try to give the best for my students, besides that what is really my challenge is the cultural differences that are very different in terms of education and also the culture that exists in schools and in the community. besides that for me personally as a Muslim it is a little difficult to find halal food but that is not a big problem for me. all the challenges and things that I worry about I can face.

overall impression

The impression when I was at UNP was very pleasant, I was very happy, I could be part of this program, from the beginning of joining this program, I had a lot of worries, but it turned out that my fear did not happen, I was very well received, worthy of my family, all the facilities were given and fulfilled very well. In addition, UNP also gave me a friend who is very good and caring, I am very, very happy to be one of these programs, I am very happy to be able to meet good teachers at UNP not only teachers but also friends who I deserve to call Sodarara. If you ask me about my impression, I will proudly say VERY, VERY FUN AND THIS IS AN AMAZING EXPERIENCE IN MY LIFE.

Sugesstion for future improvment

My suggestion for this program in the future may not be much, but it helps you to add time to this program so that it is a little longer haehehe and maybe in my opinion if this program can bring its participants together so that many moments are created. maybe that's all because the rest of this program is already very extraordinary. I am very happy to be able to join this activity.
