I have always been fascinated by all things 'science and nature'. Growing up, I was an avid reader of colourful science encyclopedias and loved finding out about plants and animals around me. My curiosity about the intricacies of life led me to follow the path of microbiology and the life sciences, eventually earning me my PhD in Biotechnology from the University of Hyderabad in 2023. I was a bench scientist studying the DNA damage repair pathways using molecular biology techniques. By the end of my PhD, I found myself at a crossroads with a burning passion for communicating science and bridging the gap between scientists and the general public. Since then, I have written biology chapters, op-eds, blog posts, news articles – you name it! I also dabbled a bit in graphic designing for science – creating flyers for public science events, webpage design, and even starting my own illustrated blog on science! I also capture my love for life and nature with art and painting.
