This is the page for the FWF-funded research project Determinacy and Non-Classicality in Arithmetic (grant no. 10.55776/PAT2449425).
We study determinacy within arithmetic using tools from non-classical logic. It is our contention that a non-classical treatment of traditional theorems and arguments gives rise to mathematically interesting logical systems and has the potential to shed new light on classical philosophical questions about truth and reference.
The project is based at the University of Salzburg and runs from November 2025 to October 2029. The Principal Investigator is Julien Murzi, with Nuno Maia as a project team member.
On this page, we will publish project outputs as they become available.
