DOCUMENT STATUS
English translation of the approved Persian draft. The marked sections require completion using the service's actual practices. The security section must also be reviewed after the technical issue is resolved. This document is not yet a final policy ready for publication. The English app names above are translations of the supplied names, not confirmation of an official English store listing.
1. SCOPE AND PURPOSE OF THE APP
This document applies to users in the countries where the service is offered. It explains how information is processed and the terms for using the app. References to "we," "us," and "our" mean the app's developer, Swiss Tiger. Nothing in this document limits any rights you have that cannot be waived under applicable law. The app uses an online service to look up phone numbers and, where the relevant feature is enabled, names. A search result alone is not proof of a person's identity, ownership of a phone number, or location.
2. INFORMATION RECEIVED AND PURPOSES OF USE
The phone number or search term you submit is sent to the server to retrieve results. You may enter this information yourself or choose to send it from another app. If you submit a report to correct information, the name and phone number you enter are also sent to the service.
Service requests include the device's Android ID, a user identifier generated from that ID, the device model, Android version, app version, package name, and technical information about the installed app's signing certificate. This information is used to identify the installation, manage access, respond to requests, and check app compatibility and authenticity. Having a user identifier does not mean that the associated data is anonymous.
A Firebase token is processed to deliver notifications to the relevant app installation. Technical usage information, app events, and error reports are also processed to analyze performance and resolve problems. Notifications may include informational messages and promotional offers related to the app itself. When you connect to a service, your IP address is visible to the receiving service.
If you email support, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments you choose to send so that your request can be handled. You do not need to send a password or a one-time login code.
3. DEVICE PERMISSIONS
The reviewed release version includes the following permissions:
- android.permission.INTERNET: Connect to servers, retrieve results and images, and use the app's online services.
- android.permission.ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE: Check network connectivity. This permission does not provide access to the contents of other apps' communications.
- android.permission.POST_NOTIFICATIONS: Display notifications. On Android 13 and later, displaying the relevant notifications requires the user's permission.
- com.google.android.c2dm.permission.RECEIVE: Receive messages through Google's Firebase messaging infrastructure. This is not permission to access SMS messages on the phone.
- com.hammedapp.callerid.DYNAMIC_RECEIVER_NOT_EXPORTED_PERMISSION: An internal permission with signature-level protection that restricts access to the app's internal receivers.
The reviewed version does not have permissions to read contacts, call logs, phone state, or SMS messages; send SMS messages directly; place calls directly; access device location, the camera, or the microphone; or obtain broad file access. Google advertising ID collection is also disabled in the app's settings. Other device and installation identifiers described in this document are still processed.
You can disable notifications in Android settings. Doing so does not, by itself, delete the Firebase token or server-side data, and it does not mean that all analytics processing has stopped.
4. LOCAL INFORMATION AND INTERACTION WITH OTHER APPS
Search result history, including names, phone numbers, image URLs, and recording times, is stored in the app's private storage together with settings, the user identifier, the record of acceptance of the terms, and the notification token. Images may be cached. Depending on your device settings, app data may be included in backups or transferred to another device.
When you choose to call, send a message, or add a contact, the selected information is passed to the relevant app on your device for that action. Copying your identifier places it on the device clipboard. Sending text to another app takes place at your direction. When you open an external link, the destination service's policy also applies.
5. INFORMATION ABOUT INDIVIDUALS AND RECEIVING SERVICES
Names, phone numbers, and images in search results are retrieved from the online service and displayed to the person performing the search. Not reading your device's contacts does not mean that the service's database contains no information about individuals.
TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE PUBLICATION: Specify the actual sources of search results, the lawful basis or authorization for obtaining and displaying the information, how user reports are reviewed, and how those reports affect search results.
The app uses Google Analytics for Firebase to analyze usage, Firebase Crashlytics to report errors, and Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver messages and notifications. According to their functions and active settings, these services process installation identifiers, technical information, usage events, notification interactions, and crash reports. Processing an approximate location derived from an IP address is different from obtaining precise device location; the disclosure must reflect the actual Analytics configuration. Details are available in Firebase Privacy and Security at https://firebase.google.com/support/privacy and Firebase's Data Disclosure Guide at https://firebase.google.com/docs/android/play-data-disclosure.
TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE PUBLICATION: Identify the hosting provider and other actual recipients of data, the information each receives, processing locations and international transfers, and any secondary use or sale of information. The name Swiss Tiger does not, by itself, indicate where the developer is established or where data is stored.
6. SECURITY
Local data is held in the app's private storage, and the primary service address is configured to use HTTPS. However, in the reviewed version, certain connection errors cause requests to be retried over HTTP. It is therefore not currently accurate to state that all transfers are protected by TLS.
TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE PUBLICATION: Correct the insecure connection fallback and update this section to match the corrected version. Describe the actual server security measures, access controls, and backup protection practices.
7. RETENTION AND DELETION
Local history remains until you delete it within the app or clear the app's data, subject to the backup considerations described above. Uninstalling the app or clearing its history does not, by itself, delete information held on servers or by other services.
To request a review or correction of information, removal of a phone number from results, or deletion of information associated with your use of the app, email support@numberbook.ir and describe your request. The app's "Delete Number" option also opens the relevant online resource. Where verification is necessary, confirming the requester's connection to the phone number or information concerned should be limited to the information needed for that purpose.
TO BE COMPLETED BEFORE PUBLICATION: State whether searches are stored, the retention period or criteria for each category of data, deletion procedures and timeframes, the public request URL, deletion practices for third-party services and backups, and any actual exceptions together with their reasons and duration. Removing a number from search results is not the same as deleting all user-related data.
8. USER CHOICES AND RIGHTS
You may choose not to submit an optional report, disable notifications, delete local history, or contact support with a request about your information. To the extent provided by applicable law, requests for access, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or objection to the use of information may also be submitted through the same contact channel.
General acceptance of the terms does not authorize unlimited use of information. Where separate consent is required, the relevant information must be disclosed and consent obtained before that processing begins. The intended age group and any processing of children's information must be determined before publication and aligned with the actual audience and Google Play settings.
9. ACCEPTABLE USE AND ACCURACY OF RESULTS
You must not use the app for harassment, threats, stalking, impersonation, fraud, unauthorized disclosure of private information, bulk data extraction, or unauthorized access. You must not submit false reports or information that you are not entitled to provide.
Results may be incomplete, outdated, or incorrect. They must not be the sole basis for a sensitive decision or a definitive claim about someone's identity. The reporting feature does not authorize unrestricted publication of other people's information and does not remove the developer's responsibility to respect privacy.
10. CHANGES AND CONTACT
Changes to the information processed, the purposes of processing, recipients, or users' rights must be reflected in an updated version of this document. Where consent is required, changing the text or continued use of the app does not replace obtaining the necessary consent.
Swiss Tiger is responsible for responding to inquiries about this policy. Contact support@numberbook.ir and include the app name or package name, com.hammedapp.callerid, in your message. The final policy must be accessible on a public webpage and within the app.
