NUKESITE — PRIVACY POLICY
Last updated: June 4, 2026
1. Overview
Nukesite ("the extension") is a website blocker for Google Chrome. This policy explains what data the extension handles, where it is stored, and what is shared with third parties.
The short version: Nukesite does not collect or transmit your browsing history, the content of any webpage you visit, or any personally identifiable information. Your blocklist and password never leave your device.
2. Data stored on your device
The following data is stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage APIs. It never leaves your device and is never sent to Nukesite or any third party.
Data
Purpose
Where stored
Your blocked site list
Required to know which domains to block
chrome.storage.local
Your password hash and salt
Required to protect your blocklist with a password
chrome.storage.local
Session unlock state
Keeps you unlocked for the current browser session so you don't re-enter your password every popup open
chrome.storage.session
Pro status cache
Temporarily caches whether your account is paid to avoid repeated network requests on every page navigation
chrome.storage.session
3. Permissions and what they are used for
host_permissions: <all_urls>
Nukesite requests access to all URLs because your blocklist can contain any domain. The extension uses this permission solely to detect when you navigate to a blocked site and redirect you to the block page. It does not read, store, or transmit the content of any webpage you visit. It does not access your browsing history.
webNavigation
Used to listen for page navigations so the extension can check whether the destination domain is on your blocklist. No navigation data is recorded or transmitted.
scripting
Used to inject the block overlay and redirect script into a tab when you navigate to a blocked domain. The injected code does not interact with page content.
storage
Used to save your blocklist, password, and session state locally on your device as described in Section 2.
tabs
Used only to open the payment page in a new tab when you choose to upgrade to Pro. Not used to read tab URLs or monitor browsing activity.
4. Payments and third-party data
Pro upgrades are processed by ExtensionPay (extensionpay.com). If you choose to upgrade, ExtensionPay may collect your email address and payment information to process your purchase. Nukesite receives only a boolean confirmation that your account is paid — it does not receive or store your payment details or email address.
ExtensionPay's privacy policy is available at: https://extensionpay.com/privacy
Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe's privacy policy is available at: https://stripe.com/privacy
5. Data we do not collect
Nukesite does not collect, transmit, or have access to:
Your browsing history
The content of any webpage you visit
Your IP address
Cookies or session data from other websites
Any personally identifiable information
6. Data retention and deletion
All locally stored data (blocklist, password, session state) can be deleted at any time by uninstalling the extension. Uninstalling removes all data stored by the extension from your device.
If you have a Pro account with ExtensionPay and wish to delete your payment account, contact ExtensionPay directly at support@extensionpay.com.
7. Children
Nukesite does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The extension does not collect personal data from any user.
8. Changes to this policy
If this policy is updated, the "Last updated" date at the top will change. Continued use of the extension after a policy change constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
9. Contact
If you have questions about this privacy policy, you can contact us through the Chrome Web Store support tab on the Nukesite listing page.
