Hello,
I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering at the National Institute of Technology Calicut, working in the broad area of coding theory and its applications in modern communication systems. My research spans coded caching, index coding and index coding for NOMA systems, communication efficiency in federated learning, private information retrieval, and coded distributed computation, with a focus on designing efficient communication-optimal algorithms for distributed and intelligent networked systems.
Recent Updates:
Mar 2026: Journal paper on "Communication Efficient Multi-Vehicle Private Information Retrieval for VANETs" got accepted in IEEE TVT.
Feb 2026: Two conference papers by my B. Tech project groups got accepted at NCC 2026.
Dec 2025: Teaching EC3011E-Wireless Communication
Dec 2025: Invited talk on "Coding theory and its applications in modern communication systems" at EKC Engineering College, Manjeri.
Dec 2025: Won the best paper award for the conference paper titled "Efficient Federated Submodel Learning Technique for VANET Applications" in the 2025 IEEE IConSCEPT 2025 co-authored by Athul Krishna K L, Sadina K, and Deepthi P. P.
Dec 2025: Keynote address on "Private Information Retrieval" at ICSPCI-2025 held at GEC Kozhikode.ICSPCI-2
July 2025: Teaching EC3003E-Communication Engineering-II
July 2025: A journal paper titled "Index Code Design for Index Coded-NOMA Transmission in VANETs" was published in Transactions on Emerging Telecommunications Technologies.

May 2025: Invited talk delivered at NIT Raipur on "Privacy-Preserving Data Access: Advances in Private Information Retrieval."
Apr 2025: Started serving as the Treasurer at IEEE VTS Kerala chapter.
Jan 2025: Started serving as a Vice-chairperson (Internships) at the Centre for Career Development, NITC.
