核酸研討會緣起 Purpose of Nucleic Acid Conferance
核酸是生物體中不可或缺的基本元素，在生物體中扮演著儲存，傳遞與表現遺傳訊息的重要角色，核酸的化學性質決定了結構的可變性，直接影響著轉錄、轉譯、生物分子辨識的生物學功能。目前已有許多研究揭示疾病可以透過核酸當作治療人類疾病的潛在分子靶點，而核酸藥物應用於基因治療的精準醫學，藥物輸送和納米技術等領域的應用，近年受到廣泛注意且市場快速成長，核酸領域的研究在全世界也愈來愈多的重視。為推動台灣核酸結構技術的研究與促進理論與實踐兼備的目標，透過研討會的平台，結合學術會議之成果，提供研究人員思考與建構合理可行之研究方向，此次以核酸為主題於台灣辦理核酸結構研究前景與醫學應用國際研討會Nucleic Acids : Prospect and Therapeutic Applications，廣泛邀請國內外此領域頂尖學者就其專長發表關於核酸研究的成果心得，在多方領域上提供自己獨到專門的見解。
