2027 - 2037 Action Plan
The congressionally-mandated National Urban and Community Forestry (UCF) Ten Year Action Plan creates a guiding framework that optimizes innovations, resources, and collaborations for the field of urban and community forestry. The Ten Year Action Plan also drives federal funding priorities for Urban and Community Forestry.
Based on statutory requirements, the National Urban and Community Forestry Advisory Council (NUCFAC) shall prepare an updated plan every ten years. Keystone Policy Center, in partnership with Ernst Consulting and American Forests, is working under a cooperative agreement with the U.S. Forest Service to support the NUCFAC and UCF staff in updating the plan for 2027-2037.
Input gathered through this voluntary form is part of the stakeholder engagement process and will help update the NUCF Ten Year Action Plan. We welcome perspectives from both within and beyond the urban and community forestry field. Your feedback means better data, gap assessments and goal setting, which is Critical for managing extreme heat, public health and urban growth.
The form will close on May 31, 2026. All input is being independently collected and analyzed by Keystone Policy Center.
