Our lab investigates the mechanisms and brain circuits in psychiatric disorders and their therapeutic potential, with a special interest for the cerebellum's role.
We are driven by a strong commitment to bridging the gap between clinical observations and translational applications, aiming to leverage neuroimaging-guided neuromodulation techniques to develop innovative therapeutic solutions along two axes:
Axis 1: Clinical and precision psychiatry aims to explore the neurobiological underpinnings of severe, treatment-resistant psychiatric disorders and schizophrenia in particular, using advanced neuroimaging and clinical assessments for deep phenotyping and patient stratification. This axis includes brain-wide association studies for biomarker identification to guide targeted treatments.
Axis 2: Translational & interventional psychiatry aims at translating findings into interventions, with a focus on neuroimaging-guided TMS to correct circuit abnormalities and improve clinical symptoms. Collaborations with preclinical research ensure interventions are based on robust neurobiological understanding.
We have openings for master projects in our lab. Check out "Announcements for master projects" and contact us!
