Number Theory Lab

(Fall 2021)

Welcome to the Number Theory Lab! This is a regular mini seminar faced to CSU faculty, graduate students, and undergraduate students. In this seminar people can feel comfortable to talk about everything related number theory--- including but not limited to a talk of your work, a series of talks of a specific topic and an update of ongoing projects. Our plan is to try to express the beauty of number theory at the graduate level so that everyone can get a taste of the ideas. Due to COVID-19, this seminar is moved to online.

In this semester, we hope to learn the p-adic cohomology and its application to number theory. The main reference is the 2007 Arizona winter school lecture given by Kedlaya. You can find the resource here.

The temporary schedule is below, the meeting link will be sent via email one or two days before the meeting. For more information about this seminar, please see the website. Please contact Lian Duan (lian.duan@gmail.com) for any question or concern.

Please note that the talks will be given every other week. When there is no meeting for this seminar, we have VaNTAGe.

The plan for Fall 2021:

  • 09/02/2021: Organizing meeting.

  • 09/14/2021: Jeff Achter: Introduction to the topic.
