We have discovered the most distant galaxy-cluster, in an unprecedentedly early Universe. The results were reported in more than 220 media internationally.

Our team have achieved a milestone in discovering 100 super massive black holes at z~6, where only ~10 were known previously. In such distant Universe, black hole searches have been difficult previously. Scientifically, by finding only 100 supermassive black holes (instead of 1000), we have successfully ruled out super massive black holes as a source of cosmic re-ionization, which has been a long-standing mystery of the early Universe.
This is an achievement of many years of efforts by an international team, by obtaining 300 nights of 8m Subaru telescope time, and additional 30 nights of various large telescopes around the world. Although the paper itself is led by a younger scientist, my role in the team was not small. I have contributed significantly in planning overall strategy of the project, obtaining telescope times, because I had many experiences in black hole searches in my previous publications.
Because of the significance of the discovery, we had an international press-release. The results were reported in more than 8 newspapers and TVs internationally, including at least 12 medias in Taiwan.

Dark energy is one of the biggest mysteries in physics/astronomy. In this paper, we proposed a new method to reveal time-variability of dark energy. This new method has a potential to revolutionize our understanding of Dark Energy. Because of the importance, this paper was featured in a British astronomy magazine, New Scientist.
