Title: ClimateNLP: Where We Started and Where We Are Heading
Abstract: ClimateNLP is an emerging research field and community that explores how NLP can be applied to climate action. In this talk, I will share my perspective on the ClimateNLP community, gained through my research and my experience organizing two editions of the workshop. I will describe how research themes have evolved from climate claim detection toward LLM-based analysis. Finally, I will discuss where the field may be heading in the next few years.
