Description:
This repository corresponds to the NEVU dataset released together with our paper.
It contains a merged research version of the dataset with richer event-centric structures and human value annotations, including composite-event information.
Relationship to the NTCIR-19 FEHU Formal Data:
Part of this dataset overlaps with the training and development-side resources used in the NTCIR-19 FEHU shared task.
However, this repository should be treated as a supplementary research resource rather than the official shared-task data package.
Please note:
* This repository is not identical to the official split-preserving data package used in the NTCIR-19 FEHU shared task.
* It does not provide a strict train/dev/test split aligned with the official shared-task setting.
* It does not include the hidden gold labels of the official test set used for task evaluation and ranking.
* The official task evaluation should always follow the Formal Data page, Output Format page, and Result Evaluation page of the NTCIR-19 FEHU task website.
Why no official train/dev/test split is provided in this supplementary release:
The NEVU Hugging Face release is a merged paper-oriented research release.
It integrates data components beyond the original packaging of the NTCIR shared task.
As a result, it is not intended to serve as a strict split-preserving reproduction of the official shared-task data release.
What this supplementary resource may be useful for:
* exploring richer event-centric human value annotations
* studying composite-event structures
* conducting additional training or analysis beyond the official shared-task setting
* reproducing or extending the research setting described in the NEVU paper
Users who wish to reproduce the official NTCIR-19 FEHU shared-task setting should use the official Formal Data released on the task website and GitHub repository.
