The following details about hotels in Patras may be particularly useful:   


1) The following hotel is an excellent option and has given us an offer (a better price) for participants of the conference. Please, contact the organizer for more details (prices and booking).

Access to the University is by bus or by local train and bus (approximately 20-30 minutes). 


2) There is also a second nice hotel next to the beach which has given us an offer (a better price) for participants of the conference. The hotel is:

73 euros (+ 3 euros VAT)/night for single bedrooms

106 euros (+3 euros VAT)/night for double bedrooms


This price includes breakfast. The offer holds upon request and availability. This hotel is not far away from the University (15 minutes on foot + 5 minutes by local bus).


3) A more luxurious hotel is the following:

This is also next to the beach, with a swimming pool. There is access to the University with a local bus (5 minutes on foot + 5 minutes by local bus).


4)  The following two hotels are very close to the University. No bus needed, access to the venue on foot (5 to 10 minutes).

Note: Beware of some dogs walking around the University. You may meet some of them if you choose to walk from these hotels 

to the Campus.

From these hotels (of option 4), access to the venue is by bus or by train+local bus or by taxi and takes about 20-40 minutes.


Coming to Patras   


 Access to Patras is by one of the following options: 


1) Airplane to Athens and then bus from Athens to Patras (which takes approximately 2,5 hours & approximately 20 euros per person). 


2) Airplane to Athens and then train from Athens to Patras (which takes approximately 3 hours & approximately 20 euros per person). Note: The connection service is split by train (Athens to Kiato) and by bus (Kiato to Patras).


3) Airplane to Araxos airport (close to Patras, partially functional from May to September) and taxi to Patras.


4) Boat from Italy (from Venice, Ancona, Bari or Brindisi) to Patras.
