Rules and Regulations

Rules will be in accordance with Swimming NSW except where noted in the NSWCPS/ NSWCCC Swimming specific rules (See above). 

• General Rules

  • One start rule applies. 

  • False start swimmers may be allowed to complete their race but will still be disqualified unless overturned by protest. 

  • Parents, coaches, and spectators are not permitted on the pool deck or in the marshalling areas at any time during the competition

  • Swimmers must compete in their designated age group for the entire meet

  • Swimmers are responsible for reporting punctually to the marshalling area when called

  • Once competitors are in the hands of the officials, they may not receive advice or coaching

  • Competitors must remain in the water until instructed to exit by the referee.
