Rules and Guidelines

SCORING

• A set is played (with a tie breaker at 5-5)

• Long deuce will be played

• Pool winners determined using the following (in order)

  • Most sets won

  • Most games won

  • Least games lost.

  • If all stats are equal an extra ‘super tie breaker’ will be played to determine placings

• All matches are based on Tennis Australia rules.

• Players are to umpire the match. The server must call out the score after each point is played.

• Any on court disputes are to be directed to the appointed NSWCCC officials.

END OF ROUND ROBIN

• All players are to report to the recording office with the results sheet after the round robin is complete.

• Morning Round Robin (Rd of 32): The Winner and Runner Up of each pool progress to the Afternoon Round Robin

• Afternoon Round Robin (Rd of 16): The Winner and Runner Up of each pool are selected into the NSWCCC Tennis Team to compete at All Schools

IN THE EVENT OF A WASH OUT/EXTREME WEATHER

• Should the carnival be washed out during round 1, the top 8 UTR ranked players will be selected into the NSWCCC team as indicated by Universal Tennis rankings.

• Should the carnival be washed out during round 2, the winner from each pool in round 1 will be selected into the NSWCCC team.

UNIFORM/TEAM IDENTIFICATION

• Appropriate Tennis attire is to be worn by all players
