It is with great pleasure that I welcome students, teachers, parents, friends and special guests to the 2025 NSW Combined Catholic College (NSWCCC) Athletics Championships.
Students from Catholic secondary schools representing 12 diocese/associations from across New South Wales are competing today at the championships. Making it to these championships is an outstanding achievement that recognises the great commitment and dedication of the students who have qualified for this event to be the very best they can be through hard work and training.
Thank you to the CSNSW Sports team for their detailed planning and organisation of the Championships. In particular, I acknowledge the dedication of Liz Reakes (Catholic Schools, Broken Bay), Drew Ferguson (Catholic Schools NSW Sport), Kieran Donohue (Catholic Schools NSW Sport) and the Catholic Schools NSW Sport staff as the principal coordinators for today’s event.
Finally, thank you to all who have contributed to the success of these championships. An event such as this cannot go ahead without the support of the many principals, sports coordinators, teachers, parents and volunteers who have given their time to prepare our students for today.
I wish all competitors and officials a very successful and rewarding day.
