Panelist Bios

Wynter J. Duncanson, PhD

Dr. Duncanson is the Assistant Dean of Outreach and Diversity and a Lecturer in Biomedical Engineering at Boston University. After a post-doc at Harvard delving into the amazing physics of bubbles, she lived and taught in Brazil, Kazakhstan, and the United States.

Adilia James, PhD

Dr. James is an Assistant Professor of Sociology at Endicott College teaching "Introduction to Sociology," "Social Problems," "Race and Ethnicity in U.S. Society," and "Research Methods." She is an expert in how wages and career options are affected by race and gender.

Erika Scibelli, Esq.

Erika Scibelli is Chief of Staff for the Massachusetts Cannabis Control Commission. She served as Deputy Chief of Staff at the Health Policy Commission and as Legislative Director and Legal Counsel to State Senator James T. Welch. Erika earned her bachelor's degree in 2006 from UMass Amherst. In 2012, she earned her Juris Doctorate from Western New England University School of Law with a concentration in gender and sexuality studies.


Shamonn Long

Shamonn "Sham" Long is a Process Improvement Project Manager for a Fortune 100 company. Sham earned his bachelor's degree in 2003 from UMass Lowell. He and Erika Scibelli are advocates for social justice who host a bi-weekly forum to discuss racism and anti-racist action called "Community Conversations" and have previously spoken about the complexity of discussing racism and anti-racist action on the Panic & Patience Podcast.
