3DAY WORKING SESSION

DAY ONE

The National service Scheme units of Christ College (Autonomous) Irinjalakuda organised a Three day working session from 7^th April 2021 to 9^th April 2021.On the first day, the volunteers assembled in the Chavara seminar hall by 09.00am and they were divided into six groups . The second year volunteers Yadhukrishna KS and Lakshmi Ramachandran led the session.

In the morning session the volunteers were assigned to do the manual work under the instructions of Programme officersProf.TharunR,Prof.Jomesh Jose, Prof.LinnetGeorge and Second year NSS volunteers. As part of this, land near the BPED department was cleaned and the maintenance of Fruit Garden was done. Volunteers completed the work and returned to the Seminar hall by 11:00 AM

Then an icebreaking session was conducted by the second year volunteers for the first year volunteers. As a part of this, each groups were asked to find a group name,motto and slogan.

Before lunch break Programme officer Prof.Tharun R gave some important instructions for the first year volunteers.

After the session the volunteers had their lunch together. In the afternoon session the second year volunteer Treesa Maria gave the instructions to the first year volunteers for making paper pens.All of the volunteers were very attentive to the session. The volunteers of group 2 and group 5 were assigned to conduct the cultural session.The session wasstarted by NSS anthem. The volunteers worked hard to do their best.

Many of the volunteers could show their talents. After the wonderful cultural session,Prof.Jomesh sir gave some advices for the volunteers to improve themselves. Then the First year volunteers shared their feedbacks of the first day of the camp. The first day came to an end by 04.00pm.

DAY TWO

On 8th April, 2021, the second day of 3 day working session organized by National Service Scheme units of Christ college, Irinjalakuda, volunteers assembled in Chavara seminar hall by 8:30 and the meeting began by NSS anthem. In the morning session, volunteers were assigned to do manual work at various parts of the college.Under the leadership of programme officers and second year volunteers, the first year volunteers were divided into six groups. First group was assigned to clean fruit garden and the other groups to clean BPED ground. Then drip irrigation was made possible to newly planted saplings using bottles. At 10:30 AM, volunteers were trained to make mats under the leadership of second year NSS volunteer Afeela.

In the afternoon session, each groups were made to perform on the topics given to them. This was followed by a campus tour that lasted for almost half an hour. Later in the cultural session, volunteers of group three and six showcased their talents. After feed back session, programme officers gave necessary instructions regarding upcoming NSS activities. The session under the leadership of Programme officers ProffTharun.R, Proff. JomeshJose and Proff. LinettGeorge and second year volunteers Yadhu Krishna and Lakshmi Ramachandran came to an end by 4:00 PM.

DAY THREE

On 9^th April, 2021, the last day of 3 day working session organized by National Service Scheme units of Christ College, Irinjalakuda, volunteers assembled in college at 8:30 AM and the session began with NSS anthem. In the morning session, volunteers were assigned to do manual works at various parts of the college. The volunteers were divided into groups and were sent in groups to clean fruit garden and storeroom and to sort newspapers and magazines according to the date of publication.

In the afternoon, first was the game session and then a street play was performed by second year NSS volunteers.Second year NSS volunteers along with some 2018-2020 batch NSS volunteers shared their experience, memorable moments and lessons learnt from NSS. Later, volunteers of group 1 and group 4 were given opportunity to showcase their talents. All the volunteers took part in the feedback session.

Of the whole 3 day working session, group six was selected as best group on the basis of score and group 5 was selected as the best performed group.AdarshChandrashekarof group 1 and Jayakrishnenduof group 6 were selected as best NSS volunteers of the session. Programme officers Proff. Tharun R, Proff. Jomesh Jose and Proff. Linet George presented an analysis of the 3 day working session and gave necessary instructions regarding future NSS activities. Second year volunteers Yadhu Krishna and Lakshmi Ramachandran who led the session also gave their feed back. The session came to an end by 4:00 PM
