On June 10th 2022, the Department of Justice closed down the Commissioners Office which included Internal Affairs. The Department of Justice finds that Internal Affairs are vital to the self governance of government agencies. On June 10th Director Allie Savage took lead of a new iteration of Internal Affairs which will investigate and find truth in any instance where a government agent is accused of or believed to have carried out misconduct which violates law.
Every department whether they are large or small will have to deal complaints concerning an employees’s conduct and in some occasions these may potentially be a violation of law. Although the process of handling these complaints varies between agencies of different sizes, there must be accountability from an external entity at all time.
Internal Affairs is now in the unique position to grow and prosper as it's own department outside of all government agencies and will ensure that all law enforcement officers, medical personnel, judges, court clerks and prosecutors are held to the same standards as civilians and remaining within the limits of the law.
On June 10th 2022, the Department of Justice closed down the Commissioners Office. In its place the Department of Public Safety was created consisting the Sheriff of Blaine County Sheriffs Office, Colonel of San Andreas State Police and the Chief of Los Santos Police Department. With the disbanding of the Commissioners Office, the regulatory body of DPS defaults back to the Department of Justice however with the ever growing workload of the Department of Justice we need to put in place another way for complaints regarding the council to be handled.
As such the Attorney Generals Office will take receipt of complaints regarding the DPS Council or its members. This means that should civilians or members of law enforcement have any direct administrative complaints regarding the Sheriff of Blaine County Sheriffs Office, Colonel of San Andreas State Police or the Chief of Los Santos Police Department then these should be made directly to the Attorney General. Outcomes of these complaints may be made to the Chief Justice for appeal.
The second order of business is the appointment of Colonel of the San Andreas State Police. On June 12th Colonel Boscoreli was removed from his position of Colonel on the outcome of an Internal Affairs investigation. This leaves a position not only in leading the San Andreas State Police but also a seat on the DPS Council.
The Department of Justice announces that North Brenan will lateral transfer from his position as Sheriff of Blaine County Sheriffs Office to Colonel of the San Andreas State Police on Midnight of June 14th going into June 15th. Undersheriff Jay Strafe will return to his former position of Sheriff of Blaine County Sheriffs Office at the same time.

Previously the Department of Justice announced the new regulations for employment which would limit the amount of employment positions that an individual could hold.
Recently our economic changes which include new business grants, tax breaks and material subsidies alongside the increasing business economy within the State of San Andreas and the upcoming minimum wage law have all resulted in a re-review of this upcoming regulation change.
Whilst we are aware that there a small number of inactive or rarely active businesses who do not contribute to the state and community, we also have noticed an increase in the active businesses and employment numbers. Non-active businesses will be dealt on a case by case basis and a number of businesses may lose their licenses in the upcoming days meaning that there will be more opportunities than ever before.
As such the Department of Justice will not be enforcing the new regulations on April 1st and instead shall continue to foster a positive business and employment societal structure through grants and assistance.
We may review the regulations at a later point in time should the need arise.
San Andreas has always been a state in the United States that has never set a minimum wage for employees.
The minimum wage is the lowest legal wage that companies can pay their workers and the purpose of minimum-wage laws is to prevent employers from exploiting workers.
The minimum wage should provide enough income to afford a living wage, the amount needed to provide enough food, clothing, and shelter. The U.S. national minimum wage is $7.25 per hour as of January 2022.
Many states and cities have their own minimum wage and until today California has the highest state rate at $15 ($14 for employers with under 26 employees) as of January 1, 2022 however today San Andreas looks to surpass that rate and introduce a minimum wage law of a higher rate. Freelance positions such as mining/fishing and hunting are NOT covered by the minimum wage laws.
