Team Expectations for NSHS Gymnastics 2024-2025 Season:
1. HAVE FUN!!! High school gymnastics should be a fun, team environment where student athletes work together and encourage each other to reach their goals.
2. Attendance:
All practices and meets are mandatory per MIAA rules. MIAA rule says you can not miss high school practice for a club practice or meet. You will be given a calendar at the beginning of the season so you know when practices and meets are for the whole season.
Be on time to practice and meets.
We understand that every once in a while there are personal conflicts with practice times. Please talk to a Kylie or Teri within a day or 2 of the calendar being handed out each month if there are any conflicts.
If you are out sick from school, MIAA rules say you cannot attend practice that night. Please contact Kylie or Teri to let them know that you were out sick as soon as possible so we know not to expect you at practice that night (and get lots of rest and feel better)!!
Unexcused Missed Practice:
o First time - warning
o Second time - sit out next meet
3. Meets:
Meets are manditory
Come dressed in team leotard, team jacket, and team shorts/pants for every meet.
Hair should be pulled back neatly.
No Jewelry (one pair of stud earrings is ok but nothing more than that is allowed, can’t just put tape over them like USAG, this is an MIAA rule)
We want to look our best for the judges and present ourselves as the awesome team that we are!
No cell phones (unless you are video taping a routine then putting it away). High school gymnastics is a team sport and we want to be cheering for our teammates (and the other team) as much as possible!
Please make sure you are here for the Team Sectional Meet during February break week
