What is NSBE?
NSBE stands for the National Society of Black Engineers. It supports and promotes the aspirations of collegiate and pre-collegiate students and technical professionals in engineering and technology. It is one of the largest student-governed organizations based in the United States. I was founded in 1975 at Purdue University.

Who Can Join NSBE at JC?
NSBE is a very diverse organization and NSBE welcomes students from all races, sexes, & backgrounds.
NOT just for African-American students. Open to all STEM, Engineering majors, and non-Engineering/ Technical majors.
Engineering majors: Civil Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Mechanical Engineering, etc.
STEM majors: Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Automotive, Pre-med, etc.
