أولياء الأمور الكرام،
بعد التحية والسلام...
بداية اسمحوا لي أن أعبر عن مدى فخري برؤية المزيد من النماذج المتميزة لعمل الطلبة، وبمدى قدرة طلابنا على الارتقاء لمستوى التحديات في هذه الفترة. فقد أبهرتني مشاركات قسم الابتدائي في تحدي كتابة الشِعر، وابداعات طلابنا في المرحلة الثانوية في مبادرة تكنولوجيا التصميم، كما أشيد بمشاركات طلابنا في مسابقات اللغة العربية والمواد الوزارية. أحسنتم وإلى الأمام قُدمًا.
نسأل الله تعالى في نهاية الشهر الفضيل أن يتقبل منكم طاعتكم وأن تكونوا قد قضيتم أيامًا مباركة مع العائلة. ونأمل أن يتمكن طلابنا الأعزاء، كلٌّ وفق المرحلة العمرية ومستوى إدراكه وفهمه من الاستمرار في تطبيق قيم ومبادئ الشهر الفضيل على مدار العام الدراسي.
يطيب لي بالنيابة عن كافة فريق العمل في مدرسة جيمس البرشاء الوطنية للبنين، أن أرفع أسمى آيات التهاني والتبريكات إلى كافة طلابنا الأعزاء وأسرهم الكريمة بمناسبة حلول عيد الفطر سائلين الله عز وجل أن يعيده على الجميع بالخير واليُمن والبركات. يحل علينا عيد الفطر هذا العام بحلة مختلفة، إلا أن ذلك لن يمنعنا من اللقاء والاجتماع بالعائلة والأصدقاء من خلال منصات التواصل الالكترونية لتبادل التجارب ونكون ممتنين وشاكرين لله على نعمه التي لا تحصى.
نحيطكم علمًا بما يلي:
· ستكون عطلة عيد الفطر يومي الاحد 24 والاثنين 25 مايو 2020، على أن تستأنف الدراسة عبر برنامج التعليم عن بُعد يوم الثلاثاء 26 مايو 2020 وفق مواعيد الدوام المدرسي المعتادة من الساعة 8.00 صباحًا وحتى 3.00 ظهرا من (الاحد – الأربعاء) والخميس من 8.00 صباحًا وحتى 1.00 ظهرًا.
· سنقوم بإرسال جدول الحصص الجديد عبر النشرة الأسبوعية لكل من المرحلة الثانوية والابتدائية
ملاحظة: في حال ورود أي جديد بخصوص مواعيد عطلة عيد الفطر الخاضعة لرؤية القمر في نهاية الأسبوع، فسنقوم بإعلامكم فور وروده.
Dear Respected Parents,
It has been wonderful to see so many examples of excellent student work this week. I am so impressed with the way that our learners continue to rise to all challenges that come their way. This week I have been blown away by the creativity of primary poetry projects, the innovation that we have seen in secondary Design Technology initiatives and the exceptional contributions of students to our wide range of Arabic and MoE challenges. A huge well done to all!
As we approach the end of Ramadan I hope that all our students and families have enjoyed this blessed time together. I especially hope that our students will, according to their different ages and levels of understanding, be able to reflect on the many lessons that we can take from this special month and aim to apply them throughout the year ahead.
On behalf of everyone at NSB I would like to wish all our families a very happy Eid-ul-Fitr. We We will be celebrating differently this year but we will still be coming together with friends and family through technology to share experiences together and be thankful for our many blessings. Sunday 24th May and Monday 25th May are confirmed as our Eid holidays. We expect to return to our Remote Learning Programme on Tuesday 26th May with the standard school Remote Learning timings of 8.00am – 3.00pm (Sunday to Wednesday) and 8.00am – 1.00pm on Thursday. Revised timetables will be shared with parents via Primary and Secondary Newsletters. We will communicate to parents if there are any changes to Eid-ul-Fitr school holidays subject to the sighting of the moon this weekend.

مواعيد عطلة عيد الفطر:
تماشياً مع اعلان الجهات الرسمية في الإمارات لمواعيد عطلة عيد الفطر، تعلن مدرسة جيمس البرشاء الوطنية للبنين أن عطلة العيد ستكون الأحد 24 والاثنين 25 مايو 2020. على أن تستأنف الدراسة عبر برنامج التعليم عن بُعد يوم الثلاثاء 26 مايو 2020 وفق مواعيد الدوام المدرسي المعتادة قبل شهر رمضان من الساعة 8.00 صباحًا وحتى 3.00 ظهرا.
في حال ورود أي جديد بخصوص مواعيد عطلة عيد الفطر، فسنقوم بإعلامكم حال وروده.

Eid-ul-Fitr Holiday Announcement
In line with UAE Government Authority, GEMS Al Barsha National School for Boys will be closed from Sunday 24th May – Monday 25th May 2020. The school will resume remote learning for students on Tuesday, 26th May 2020 at the normal timing before the start of Ramadan from 8:00 am till 3:00 pm. If any change happens with the holiday dates we will inform parents immediately. We wish you and your family a blessed Eid.

أولياء الأمور الكرام
مع انقضاء شهر رمضان المبارك، أتقدم من الطلبة الاعزاء وأسرهم الكريمة بأطيب التمنيات بمناسبة حلول "عيد الفطر " أعاده الله على الجميع بالخير واليُمن والبركات.
لقد سررت بأداء الطلبة خلال دروس البث المباشر وبمشاركتهم العديد من الأعمال الطلابية المتميزة على Seesaw. وقد كان أبرزها لهذا الأسبوع هو درس دكتور حسن في الصف الثاني – B، الذي قدّم درسًا متميزًا! يمكنكم مشاهدته على وسائل التواصل الاجتماعي الخاصة بالمدرسة.
نحيطكم علمًا، أنه بعد انتهاء عطلة عيد الفطر، سيقوم المعلمون بإجراء مراجعة للدروس في كل مرحلة صفية ومساعدة الطلبة على فهم وحل نماذج من الأسئلة التي تحاكي نموذج الامتحانات المقرر إجرائها ابتداءً من 7 يونيو 2020. على أن يتم لاحقًا اطلاعكم على الدروس التي سيشملها الامتحان في مختلف المواد ليتمكن الطلبة من المراجعة والاستعداد.
نود أن ننوه الى أن نتائج هذه الامتحانات تعد عاملاً أساسيًا في مساعدة المعلمين على وضع الخطط التعليمية الأمثل للعام الدراسي المقبل والتي من شأنها رفع مستوى التحصيل الدراسي لأولادكم.
ملاحظة: قام معلمو الصف اليوم بإرسال دليل أولياء الأمور في كل ما يتعلق بالامتحانات.
كل عام وأنتم بخير ونتمنى لكم قضاء عطلة عيدٍ سعيدة وممتعة.
Dear Families,
May I take this opportunity to wish you all Eid Mubarak! I hope the Holy Month, of Ramadan, has been blessed for you and your loved ones.
It has again been a pleasure to visit the live lessons with the boys and to review the superb content shared by pupils on Seesaw. The best lesson this week was one delivered by Dr Hassan (from 2B)- outstanding practice! I hope you will take the opportunity to review it on our social media platforms.
After the Eid break, teachers will be reviewing learning across the year and supporting pupils in understanding the types of questions which will be part of our assessments, in the week commencing 7th of June. Teachers will also share with you the key topics covered in the assessments, to assist pupils in revising. A parent guide to assessments will be shared with you, by class teachers, today. The assessments will support teachers in planning carefully for your son next year, to ensure optimum progress, from his starting points.

أولياء الأمور الكرام
قام أعضاء فريق الإدارة في المرحلة الثانوية يوم الاحد بمناقشة طلبة الصف الحادي عشر (11) كل على حدا حول خياراتهم للصف الثاني عشر (12)، بالإضافة إلى مراجعة خططهم المستقبلية والتّوجُهات المهنية التي يطمحون لها لما بعد عمر 16 عامًا.
كل الشكر والتقدير لأولياء الأمور والطلاب الذين حضروا الندوة التي أقيمت يوم الأربعاء حول خيارات الشهادة العامة للتعليم الثانوي لطلبة الصف التاسع، حيث أنه من الأهمية بمكان أن يكون الطلبة على معرفة بمعايير معادلة الشهادة والخيارات المتاحة.
في موضوع آخر، قام معلمو المواد الوزارية بتعريف الطلبة بأهمية عيد الفطر وبكيفية الاحتفال بأجوائه وطقوسه في ظل الظروف الراهنة.
الامتحانات
· سيرسل قسم الثانوي اليوم دليل أولياء الأمور حول كل ما يتعلق بالامتحانات.
· بدء الامتحانات اعتبارًا من الاحد 7 يونيو.
· تخصيص الأسابيع المتبقية من العام الدراسي لتعزيز المفاهيم التعليمية لدى الطالب بما يخدم العام المقبل. فعلى الطلبة الاستمرار بالالتزام بقواعد التعليم عن بعد حتى نهاية العام الدراسي.
الرجاء أخذ العلم أنه سيتم ارسال جدول الحصص الذي سيتم اعتماده بعد عطلة عيد الفطر، وقد تم زيادة عدد حصص البث المباشر لتشمل حصة التربية الرياضية والموسيقى/ الفنون وحصة تقنية التصميم وحصة تنمية مهارات القيادة.
تهانينا الحارة للطالب فارس الجرمان في الصف السابع (7 ) على حصوله على جائزة " Headteacher " لهذا الأسبوع.

Dear Parents,
Y11 assembly on Sunday was an opportunity to revisit our students plans for post 16. The leadership team had one on one interviews with the students and discussed their options for Y12 and career aspirations.
Thank you for the parents and students who have attended Y9 GCSE information assembly on Wednesday. It was important to have a refresher on students’ GCSE options and the equivalency criteria.
During Eid Assembly the MOE team has shared the importance of Eid and how we can celebrate in the light of the current situation.
You will receive today the end of year assessment guide. The assessment week will commence on the week of June 7. The following weeks will be dedicated for bridging lessons for the next academic year. Expectations will continue to be followed till the last day of term.
In the curriculum update email you will find the time table we will follow after Eid. You will notice that we have increased the number of live lessons to include PE, Art/Music, DT and Leadership.

السلام عليكم ورحمة الله وبركاته ..
تقبل الله طاعاتكم ..
ها نحن نودع شهر رمضان الفضيل، أعاده الله علينا وعليكم أعوامًا عديدة بالخير واليُمن والمسرات، ونستقبل عيد الفطر المبارك، أول يوم من شهر شوال، فكل عام وأنتم وإماراتنا الحبيبة بخير، بتكبيرات العيد التي تصدح من كل مكان، وندعو الله عزّ وجل أن يصرف عنا الأمراض وسيئ الأسقام لنحتفل بالعيد مرة أخرى في صرح مدرستنا الحبيبة.
بعد إجازة العيد بإذن الله سنبدأ بأسبوع اللغة العربيّة حيث سنقوم بالاحتفال بلغة الضاد، لغة القرآن الكريم، لذا نحثكم على تشجيع أبنائكم على المشاركة لما لها من أهمية لتعلق الطلاب بها والاعتزاز بهويتهم الشخصيّة. كما بدأت الأستاذة هبة باجتماعاتها مع الطلاب المشاركين بتحدي القراءة العربي، والذي سيبدأ في بداية شهر يونيو، ونرجو لهم كل التوفيق بإذن الله.
نقدم كل الشكر إلى من شاركنا التحديّات والأنشطة طوال شهر رمضان الفضيل ونعلمكم عن استمرار التحديات بعد الشهر الفضيل حتى نهاية العام الدراسي الحالي، لاستقبال المزيد من المشاركات والأفكار الرائعة الخلاّقة والتي تعكس روح حب المنافسة والتعاون، وهي الروح التي نريدها في مدرستنا الحبيبة، وكل عام وأنتم بخير!
Dear Parents,
As we bid farewell to the Holy month of Ramadan, may Allah repeat it for many years to come while we are in the best conditions and good health, we are going to receive the blessed Eid Al-Fitr, the first day of the month of Shawwal. We pray to Allah to protect us and remove all diseases so that we can celebrate Eid once again in our beloved school.
After the Eid holiday, we will start with the Arabic language Week, where we will celebrate our language, the language of the letter daad, and the language of the Holy Qur’an, so we urge you to encourage your children to participate because of the importance that would ensure students will show attachment and commitment to their own personal identity. Mrs. Heba has also started her team conferences with the students participating in the Arab Reading Challenge, which will start at the beginning of June, and we wish all our participating students the best of luck!
We thank all the students who participated in all challenges and activities throughout the Holy month of Ramadan, and we would like to inform you that we are planning to continue the challenges until the end of the current academic year. We look forward to receiving more wonderful and creative ideas and contributions that reflect the spirit of love for competition and cooperation, which is the spirit we want to have in our beloved school.

Worry Boxes:
Worry Boxes support students who may be feeling anxiety by taking the worry off of the child and place it into the box. Student Counsellor, Ms. Paola and Senior Leader, Ms. Lisa will receive their worries. Parents should please be assured that if a child has a worry which we feel you should be involved with, we will contact you directly and share with you your child’s worry. لقد تم في العام الدراسي الماضي إطلاق برنامج "نجوم جيمس في حسن معاملة الآخرين"، الذي يهدف إلى الإشادة بالطلبة الذين يتحلون بسلوكيات تمثل قيم الاحترام والإحسان للآخرين. كما تكمن أهمية هذا البرنامج في التأكيد على ضرورة تعليم هذه القيم للطلبة ليصبحوا مواطنين عالميين صالحيين.
At the end of last year, we launched the GEMS Jewels of Kindness program which seeks to exemplify students exhibiting core values including compassion, kindness, respect, helpfulness and empathy.
The aim of this program is to emphasize the importance of values education to help our children become better world citizens.
