Nova Rylee Johnson is a storyteller at heart,  with a background in filmmaking, journalism, and public speaking. Her creative path began in high school with a YouTube channel that pulled back the curtain on the chaotic lifestyle of a student filled with curiosity and ambition.

Now a junior at Howard University’s Cathy Hughes School of Communications, Nova is focused on Film and Television Production as part of her Media, Journalism, and Film studies. Whether she’s behind the camera or on the page, Nova is driven by a deep passion for representation and shaping culture through orginal narratives. She is actively developing her knowledge of the industry at Lionsgate this summer as an Inclusive Content team. In her free time, Nova is working towards her goal of becoming a television writer.
