As our drivers get set to go racing at the Calder Park Raceway Oval, let's go over some favorites. Definitely the trio of Kynderrick Meeks, Drew Walker, and Jerry Chen. These three are always favorites due to their expertise and overall skill of racing. On to the others, my three will be Cam Wright, Riley Hill, and Solomon Sheridan. Cam has been a little off of his stride in these past seasons, but I believe this will be the start of a nice comeback from him. Riley has been amazing this whole season, and I have no reason to believe he will be different today. Let's see if he lives up to my expectations today. Solomon has always been a fierce competitor and has outraced Kynderrick and any other big racers. I think he will be able to pull it off today. All in all, the field is very balanced today and I think it's anyone's race. We'll have to wait for the race results to come out before we can name a winner. Until then, this is Re Porter out.

The upcoming season for the new rebranded P.M.U Cup Series will open with it's second ever Daytona 250 and there are plenty of new headlines and stories heading in. Huge changes with JC Motorsports leaving and SLR pulling Cam Wright Sr. onto their team. It leaves a question, who will be the next big team to fill JC Motorsports' shoes? Jerry Chen will make his final start as a par time car in the #96 for CT Motorsports, and it seems CTM and JCM have had a very relaxed relationship with them picking up Owen Scott to the #36 [Jerry's former number] and Walker to the #47 despite their on track incidents. And with Sheridan and Dex Miyazaki on-board, it already looks to be a strong team despite their off season in S4. Leland Motorsports has also brought the returning James Jameson into the #19 while Arthur Xavier has decided to go independent and retire more than likely by the end of the season. They also brought D2 prospects, David Dixon and Kyle Vaughters into the mix in the #45 and #62 respectively. Leland Motorsports looks to capture their second team championship this season, and they're definitely capable of doing it. Sean Lowell Racing is looking to be a threat this year again after Cam Wright Jr. scored his first career victory and a top ten points finish with his first season in the team. But now that they have also picked up Cam Wright Sr., perhaps the team as a whole can start to show new colors and win some races this year. Petty Jr Motorsports, after the unfortunate loss of Richard Petty Jr is a team to look at this season, despite having good runs early on in S4, the team started to fall apart other than RPJ's lone win at New York. This team's performance will be questioned as they pulled Sophia Petty on-board to replace RPJ in the #43. Without their flagship owner, can this team perform to max level? Daniel Bouchard had a strong showing early last season, but he fell off later in the season like most of the team. Meeks also put on his worst season on record. And Dylan Hayden is still searching for his breakthrough moment since Indy. We'll find all this out once we arrive to the Daytona 250!
