The Naval Postgraduate School (NPS) Sailing Club offers sailing opportunities for the Monterey Bay Area military community, instructors, and their dependents. Whether you’re brand new to the sport or an experienced sailor, our club provides the chance to learn, race, and enjoy the water together.

We sail two to two times each week as available, balancing competitive racing with casual outings designed for fun, connection, and skill building. Our fleet includes two Shields and two Santana 22 (S 22) sailboats, perfect for both training and spirited competition on the bay.

Joining the club means more than just learning to sail, it’s about camaraderie, adventure, and the unique experience of exploring Monterey Bay from the water. With instruction, gear, and boat access provided, all you need to bring is your curiosity and willingness to learn.
