About NPCOC

New Providence church of Christ is the oldest congregation in Montgomery County. While the exact date of establishment cannot be pinned down, we know that this has been the meeting place since July 21, 1889. There have been many changes through the years, from the two-lane dirt road that passed in front of the building to the four buildings that have stood here for worship. But one thing we trust has not changed is our devotion to our Lord Jesus Christ and His gospel.

The Bible is the sole authority for what we believe and do. It establishes our worship practices, church organization, leadership, and the conditions and benefits of God’s free gift of salvation. We strive daily to seek a stronger relationship with Christ as we seek His will. We are Christians, nothing more and nothing less. Just members of the church that belongs to Christ.
