An ancient group of Night Shades that date back to the Ancient Tribe, the First Shades are the ones who first guided cats back to the Shaded Mount after keeping it safe from unwanted trespassers for many generations. The names they once had have long been lost to time as they take on a guiding role in the Tribe.

They are largely respected and considered one of the most substantial links, beyond old paintings and stories, to the past, and most often appear to the Shadevoice and healers as advisors.

A trio of seemingly average cats that were chosen by the First Shades, the Founders were the first three members of the Tribe that traveled and arrived to the Shaded Mount together. Though they came from normal origins, all three were descended from the Ancient Tribe and were tasked with beginning the Tribe of the Shaded Mount.

Upon their arrival at the Tribe's camp, they were greeted by the First Shades and granted their true names, as well as their new positions in the Tribe. Thus, they became the Founders, and the first Shadevoice, Shadestep, and healer.
