CS PhD Candidate @ School of Computing, University of Georgia, USA.
I am a CS PhD candidate, and my main research interest is in Computer Vision (CV).
My research topic is Image Classification, specifically building robust image classifier for both flat and hierarchical image classification (HIC). I aim to integrate Open-set/-world paradigm into HIC, and develop the classifier more robustly with real-world deployability in mind.
Currently, I am working as a Teaching Assistant (TA), and in this role, I perform as a lab instructor, and grader.
Additionally, I was a Research Assistant (RA) in DoD and NSF funded projects for over 2 years.
News:
New paper accepted at ICPR-26: one of my collaborations on Hierarchical Image Classification just got accepted at the main track of ICPR.
Awarded as the recipient of Outstanding Teaching Assistant 2026 by UGA! [Find it here....]
