Every day we automate and quantify more and more things. From pulse to steps, we obtain data of everything we do. Now Playing Register was born as a way to complete the Now Playing experience, allowing you to save songs and interact easily with other services. But now, we want to evolve to go much further.
From the minute one, in Development Colors we thought about how to work and what else to offer our users. By joining our project with the culture of quantification, we have reached the latest version of Now Playing Register, in which we have been working internally for a while.
We have combined quantification, with music. To produce data on what the user has done throughout the day. We are pleased to announce that since the last public version of Now Playing Register, users can now access statistical information of their interaction with Now Playing. From seeing the number of songs they have listened or the most repeated songs to another series of data and graphics that will transform Now Playing into a social tool.
Knowing which songs we have heard most often gives us endless possibilities. From buying a CD from a certain artist, putting numerical data to our way of interacting with music offers us new tools. We look forward to seeing how our users get more out of Now Playing Register.
