The problem: An 18 was being solicited  to buy a gun.

The Solution: No Weapon #1Life Empowerment Foundation intercepted the young man, worked with him over the summer 2022 through our BET! Be Everything Today! George Kemp Lawn Training program. We also connected the young man to our community partner whose focus is introducing black and brown children to aviation. 

Outcome: NOW, this young man, signed up for the Air Force!  A true meaning of  NO WEAPON #1Life!!!

Unreserved community space enhanced into a SERVED GREEN space! 

The Problem:  North Wayside Park, Houston Texas. The parks walk trial was broken with tree roots coming through the asphalt,  down fencing with untrimmed shrub and debris blocking side trail view, no access for handicap access from the parking lot to the walk trail, broken wooden benches, down and untrimmed trees and poor lighting and unkept grounds. 

The Solution: No Weapon #1Life Empowerment worked with the City of Houston Parks and Recreation department leaders to upgrade and  transform the park.

Outcome: New metal benches, walk trail, fencing, manicured tree and shrubs, handicap ramp installed from the parking lot to walk trail, lighting and added an ADA picnic table.
